Fashion Week NYC Spring 2011 Brings Together Two Signature High- End British Brands
MAHWAH, N.J., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Land Rover North America announced today that the Range Rover brand will serve as the official automotive sponsor of the Marchesa Spring 2011 Fashion Show. The Marchesa show will take place at the Chelsea Art Museum in Manhattan on Wednesday, September 15, from 3:30 to 4:30pm.
"Range Rover's sponsorship of the Marchesa show marks the beginning of a number of important fashion and lifestyle initiatives for the brand," said Stuart Schorr, Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs, Jaguar Land Rover North America. "Range Rover, known for its luxury and capability, is an international emblem of success and style. The Marchesa brand, led by design icon Georgina Chapman, is equally admired for its timeless beauty, quality and style. We look forward to working with Georgina in support of the Marchesa Spring presentation."
Co-founded by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, the company's namesake and muse is the noted eccentric European style icon Marchesa Luisa Casati. The collection, designed by Georgina Chapman, is available in the United States at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and specialty stores nationwide. Internationally it can be found at Harrods in London, Holt Renfrew in Canada, Joyce in Hong Kong, Alothman in Kuwait and other prestigious stores worldwide.
The Range Rover is one of the most significant vehicles in the history of motoring, known for luxury and capability. The brand celebrated its 40th anniversary earlier this year. Range Rover was the first fully capable luxury 4x4 and represented a milestone in the development of the SUV category. The latest model year is enjoying growing annual sales around the world. Sold around the world, from London to Los Angeles, Sydney to Shanghai, Turin to Tokyo, the Range Rover remains the ultimate choice for the luxury SUV customer.
Later this year, a new member of the Range Rover family, the Range Rover Evoque, will be added to the lineup, taking the portfolio to three model lines. The vehicle will be smaller, lighter and more fuel-efficient, tying in perfectly with the Range Rover brand's commitment to environmental sustainability. Yet it will be equally premium and luxurious as its Range Rover peers.
