Rakuten Loyalty Announces the Launch of an Innovative Rewards Earning Browser App with Qantas
New rewards technology enables Qantas Frequent Flyers members to earn points for everyday online searches
BOSTON, July 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Top Australian loyalty program, Qantas Frequent Flyer, has partnered with rewards technology and monetization leader Rakuten Loyalty to launch an innovative new way for its loyalty members to earn Qantas points online. The new browser app will give users the ability to earn points for their everyday online search activity, through a Yahoo powered search toolbar. The platform adds to Qantas's ever expanding opportunities for members to earn points with over 400 Frequent Flyer partners, including credit card, hotel, car, travel, restaurants and more.
Qantas members will earn 200 points upon signing up and making their first valid search, and then earn one point for every valid search up to 150 points a month on an ongoing basis. When a member searches the web, they are credited with Qantas points, adding a new and engaging opportunity to earn additional rewards.
"Qantas already has a robust loyalty program in place, and we are thrilled to be able to help them increase the number of members in its Frequent Flyer program, while also better engaging customers and accelerating the pace at which they earn Qantas points," said John M. Reistrup, Chief Operating Officer at Rakuten Loyalty. "We look forward to the partnership, and providing Qantas Frequent Flyer members with a more fulfilling online experience through our rewards acceleration platform. Being able to earn rewards easily by searching online is something we are sure will have great appeal to Qantas members."
