Rack Room Shoes enters Back To School season celebrating 10-year partnership with Shoes That Fit
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Over the last decade, Rack Room Shoes has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with the non-profit organization Shoes That Fit. Year after year, the national family retailer has continued to receive positive responses from its customer base, resulting in higher donations during fundraising campaigns – all to further aid Shoes That Fit partner schools, educators and students.

Each Back to School season, the family footwear retailer hosts a Shoes That Fit fundraiser event, empowering customers to give back to their local communities by supplying children in need with new shoes. The money raised is channeled through local school liaisons who identify students and school systems in need, while also coordinating the distribution of new footwear.
Last year, Rack Room Shoes raised $1.46 million during its annual Shoes That Fit campaign – during Back to School and holiday campaigns – far exceeding its goal of $1 million.
Since 2007, Rack Room Shoes has raised a total of $5,604,113 and donated 206,201 pairs of shoes, while also increasing the number of participating schools by more than 50 percent.
This year's Back to School fundraising campaign runs through September 12.

Corporate employees recently brought their children to the Rack Room Shoes headquarters to star in a photo shoot designed exclusively to highlight its new Kids Club campaign, which features the wide selection of children's shoes – from casual to dress and even including athletic brands – that the retailer has to offer.
For more than a decade, Rack Room Shoes has featured real customers – instead of professional models – in seasonal advertisements through activities like Models Wanted and The Real People Project. The newly unveiled Kids Club embraces this authentic storytelling and encourages parents to submit pictures of their children wearing Rack Room Shoes – simply using the hashtag #iamrackroom – for a chance to be featured in the brand's Kids Club advertising.
