SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Chegg, the Student Hub, in partnership with bareMinerals Blemish Remedy, today announced Sweet Briar College as the winner of a once-in-a-lifetime visit from Stand by You and Fight Song singer, Rachel Platten through Chegg Music 101.
Sweet Briar College amassed the most votes through the online contest. This win has a particularly special meaning for Sweet Briar College, which nearly closed its doors in 2015. Rachel Platten's Fight Song became the rallying anthem for students and alumnae of the school, who raised more than $12 million in a successful campaign to overturn a decision to close the school.
To celebrate the importance of arts in education, Chegg will also award the winning school a $10,000 grant for their music department from Chegg's David B. Goldberg Music Scholarship fund. The classroom-takeover will take place before the end of May 2016.
