Rachael Maurer Named Illinois Bankers Association Volunteer of the Year
SPRINGFIELD, Ill., March 7, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Illinois Bankers Association (IBA) is grateful for our more than 220 volunteer bankers and associates who serve on one or more IBA boards or committees. To honor their commitment to the industry, each year the IBA awards one of our volunteers as the Volunteer of the Year. The IBA's 2015 Volunteer of the Year is Rachael Maurer, Social Media Representative with Illini Bank in Springfield.
The Volunteer of the Year award recognizes a banker who has devoted endless hours of his or her time to an IBA Committee or Board, and has gone above and beyond in their efforts to support the IBA and the banking industry. This year's award was presented during the IBA's ONE Conference in East Peoria on March 3.
Maurer is a 2011 graduate of the IBA's Future Leaders Alliance (FLA), an intensive yearlong program that helps train and develop banking industry emerging leaders. She currently serves as the FLA Board Vice Chairman. Maurer also is on the Women in Banking Committee. She has attended numerous IBA events and training programs, including Lobby Day at the State Capitol, and she will be one of the IBA representatives attending the American Bankers Association's Government Relations Summit in March in Washington, D.C. Maurer also was featured in some recent videos promoting the IBA through the eyes of its members.
The Illinois Bankers Association is a full-service trade association dedicated to creating a positive business climate that benefits the entire banking industry and the communities they serve. Founded in 1891, the IBA brings together state and national banks and savings banks of all sizes in Illinois.
