QVC Encourages You To Share The Love This Holiday Season
QVC and Peace Love World Come Together Once Again this #GivingTuesday to Give Back, Proceeds to Benefit Nest
WEST CHESTER, Pa., Nov. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The best gifts to give or receive are those that help others. On November 28, QVC will once again celebrate Giving Tuesday with a very special Give Love shirt and scarf created especially for QVC by Peace Love World, a line of inspirational women's clothing. A minimum of 60 percent of the purchase price* of each item will benefit Nest, a global nonprofit committed to the social and economic advancement of women by supporting female artisans.
"QVC has a rich heritage of supporting female entrepreneurs with our ongoing commitment to promoting the success and wellness of women through the power of relationships," said Rachel Ungaro, Vice President of Apparel Merchandising and Design for QVC. "We are proud to once again support Nest and the work it does to empower women artisans with the tools and resources they need to flourish personally and professionally. Giving Tuesday is the perfect opportunity to give back, and we are excited to offer two special items to spread this message of hope and love this year."
This year's Giving Tuesday items will connect QVC customers more closely than ever with the people and stories behind their purchases. Every Peace Love World Give Love shirt features a heart-shaped patch hand-embroidered by artisan women in Guatemala who are supported by Nest. The Peace Love World Give Love scarf features a selection of the brand's signature affirmations.
"Peace Love World was born out of my mission to inspire people not only to seek love, but to give love as well," said Alina Villasante, Peace Love World Founder and Designer. "This heart patch stands for what caring about others can do, how we can help each other and touch each other's lives in a positive way. No matter how you style the shirt and the scarf, you'll look and feel great knowing you made a world of difference to female artisans who need our help to thrive and flourish."
Funds raised through QVC's 2016 Giving Tuesday initiative allowed Nest to bring support to 35 new artisan businesses, expanding its impact to reach more than 60,000 people globally.
"The impact of QVC customers around the world is being felt by artisan women who need this support," said Rebecca van Bergen, Nest Founder and Executive Director. "Nest could not be more thrilled to align with QVC again as we work together to empower women globally."
To join the celebration of generosity, shoppers can tune in to QVC on November 28 or visit QVC.com to purchase the Peace Love World Give Love shirt or scarf. Throughout the day, QVC will feature segments that highlight inspiring stories of those who have benefited from the valuable resources provided by Nest. The creators of Nest and Peace Love World will also share how they made their respective passions a reality. QVC is asking shoppers to help share the love and show their hearts by sharing a photo in the Give Love shirt or scarf on social media, tagging QVC, and using #QtheLove and #GivingTuesday.
