Questar Assessment to Administer South Dakota's Online State Test of Educational Progress in Science

APPLE VALLEY, Minn., Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The South Dakota Department of Education has chosen Questar Assessment Inc. to administer the online versions of its Dakota State Test of Educational Progress (DSTEP) and Alternate (DSTEP-A) science assessments for grades five, eight, and 11. The assessment contract encompasses three testing cycles — 2015, 2016, and 2017 — and will evaluate the progress of approximately 10,000 students per grade, or 30,000 total, each year.

Questar Assessment will use its highly-advanced online testing platform to deliver both the DSTEP and DSTEP-A.
