Exxon Mobil Corporation Analyst Notes
On May 1, 2014, Exxon Mobil Corporation (Exxon Mobil) released its Q1 2014 earnings results. The Company reported Q1 2014 total revenues and other income of $106.8 billion, down 1.46% YoY. During the quarter, the Company's liquid production on Worldwide basis declined 2.1% YoY to 2,148 thousand barrels daily (Kbd) as the Abu Dhabi onshore concession expiry reduced volumes by 118 kbd, while natural gas production declined 9.1% YoY to 12,016 million cubic feet daily (mcfd) primarily due to lower demand. The Company's Q1 2014 net income attributable to ExxonMobil came in at $9.1 billion, or $2.10 per diluted share, compared to net income of $9.5 billion or $2.12 per diluted share in Q1 2013. The Company's Q1 2014 upstream earnings grew by 10.6% YoY to $7.8 billion, positively impacted by higher natural gas realizations, production volume and mix effects, and all other items, including asset management impacts. EQT Midstream Partners LP Analyst Notes
On May 1, 2014, EQT Midstream Partners LP (EQT Partners) announced the pricing of its 10.75 million common units representing limited partner interests at $75.75 per common unit. In addition, EQT Partners has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1.6 million common units. The Partnership plans to use the proceeds from the offering to fund a portion of the purchase price of the acquisition of the Jupiter natural gas gathering system from EQT Corporation. Further, the net proceeds from the underwriters' exercise of their option will be used for general partnership purposes. Vale SA Analyst Notes
On April 30, 2014, Vale SA (Vale) released its Q1 2014 earnings results. The Company reported Q1 2014 net operating revenue of $9.5 billion, down 10.7% YoY primarily due to seasonally lower shipments, driven mostly by iron ore, coal and pellets. Lower sales prices, especially of iron ore, also added to the decline in net operating revenues in the quarter. The Company's Q1 2014 net earnings attributable to stockholders came in at $2.5 billion, or $0.49 per diluted share, compared to net income of $3.1 billion or $0.60 per diluted share in Q1 2013. According to 14 analysts' average estimate, as compiled by Bloomberg, the Company was expected to post an adjusted diluted EPS of $0.53 in Q1 2014.
