On August 26, 2014, Sanderson Farms, Inc. (Sanderson) announced its Q3 FY 2014 financial results (period ended July 31, 2014). The Company's net sales in the quarter rose 4.0% YoY to $768.4 million. Sanderson's net income for the quarter came in at $76.1 million or $3.30 per diluted share, compared with $67.9 million, or $2.95 per diluted share, in Q3 FY 2013. Analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research expected the Company's net income at $3.77 per share and revenues at $778.7 million. Shares of the Company slipped 5.60% to end at $89.79 following the announcement. The Chairman and CEO Joe F. Sanderson, Jr. said that the Q3 FY 2014 results were affected by accruals booked for the Company's bonus award program and a contribution to the Company's employee stock ownership plan. Also, lower than anticipated volume processed at the Company's poultry plants affected the performance during the quarter, Sanderson added. (Metlife) can be designated as a systemically important financial institution. According to Reuters, the U.S. FSOC has closed the evidentiary record on Metlife, which is the last formal step before the council takes its decision. Reuters added that the tag of systemically important financial institution will subject Metlife to stricter capital and risk management oversight by financial regulators. On August 26, 2014, 3M Company (3M) reported that its 3M Critical & Chronic Care Solutions division reached a group purchasing agreement with health care alliance company Premier, Inc. (Premier) for multiple catheter securement and stability products. GoPro, Inc. Research Reports
On August 25, 2014, GoPro, Inc. (GoPro) announced the launch of its new Fetch mount, the Company's first pet accessory, which allows dog owners to document life from a dog's point of view. The Company informed that Fetch dog harness has two mount locations for HERO cameras - one on the back for over-the-head shots and another on the chest for a field of view closer to all the action. "We designed Fetch to meet the unique needs and usage for pets and can't wait to see the images and videos that owners will capture and share now that they have a mount specifically for their dog," said Paul Osborne, GoPro's Senior Director of product management. GoPro said that its Fetch mount is fully adjustable and can fit small dogs of 15 pounds (7 kilograms) to large breeds up to 120 pounds (54 kilograms).
