QBE North America Appoints Erin Fry to Senior Vice President, Underwriting Leader - Specialty Programs
NEW YORK, May 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- QBE North America, an operating division of QBE Insurance Group, today announced that Erin Fry has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Underwriting Leader – Specialty Programs.
Based in Philadelphia, Ms. Fry will report to Jeff Grange, President, Specialty Insurance.
In her new role as Senior Vice President, Underwriting Leader – Specialty Programs, Ms. Fry will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic underwriting plan for driving QBE Specialty products through the MGA/MGU distribution channel with our appointed program administrators. Using her extensive program experience, she will work with program administrators to underwrite niche Specialty program opportunities that leverage the full depth and breadth of the QBE Specialty product portfolio.

Before joining QBE last year, Ms. Fry spent seven years at XL Catlin, serving as Environmental Claims Counsel before becoming Vice President, Underwriting, and then Head of Professional Liability Programs. Ms. Fry began her career as a staff attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from West Chester University and a Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law. Ms. Fry is also a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and has received her Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriters
