SAN FRANCISCO, June 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US announced today that six professionals from its San Francisco office have been admitted into the firm's partnership, effective July 1, 2012.

Gib Efird was promoted to Partner in PwC's Advisory practice. As a member of PwC's Financial Due Diligence practice, Efird specializes in serving clients in the private equity sector. Efird is Vice President of the University of Chicago's Bay Area Alumni Association and formed the Booth Breakfast Club for University of Chicago business school alumni, which hosts regular networking events. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in California. Elfird received a Bachelor's degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Tom Holman was promoted to Partner in PwC's Assurance practice. Holman specializes in advising large, multinational clients in the retail, consumer packaged goods and automotive industries. He repatriated to the San Francisco market in 2011 following a three-year tour in Shanghai, where he provided accounting and consulting services to both multinationals and Chinese companies seeking an IPO. Holman is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in California and Missouri. He received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Ohio Wesleyan University.
Ligia Machado was promoted to Partner in PwC's Tax practice. Machado is a member of PwC's National Tax Services State and Local Tax Practice, based in Sacramento. She brings a wealth of experience in California income and franchise tax developments, related legislative matters and controversy opportunities. Machado is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in California. She earned a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Sacramento.
Emily Pillars was promoted to Partner in PwC's Assurance practice. She specializes in leading large multi-fund real estate engagements. Pillars is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in California, Texas and New Jersey. She received a Bachelor's degree from Tulane University.
Pete Schraeder was promoted to Partner in PwC's IT and Project Assurance practice. He specializes in data assurance, providing a range of data analysis services to many of San Francisco's leading companies. Schraeder founded the Bay Area Audit Command Language user group in 2007, which now boasts more than 100 members. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in California. Schraeder received a Bachelor's degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Renton Squires was promoted to Principal in PwC's Assurance practice. He brings more than 13 years of experience providing valuation services and primarily serves clients in the technology sector. He will lead PwC's West region tax valuation activities. Squires is a frequent presenter and speaker on both valuation and financial reporting matters and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado at Denver and a Master's degree from Seattle University.
