ST. LOUIS, Dec. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise today announces the launch of Pursuits with Enterprise, its new digital magazine that offers stories of exceptional travel journeys filled with purpose and passion. The launch comes on the heels of the brand's recent marketing shift and new digital strategy, summed up with the phrase "Moving You." In addition to emphasizing its comprehensive transportation offerings beyond car rental, "Moving You" works to extend the branch experience online and connect with customers on a more emotional level.
Feature stories included in Pursuits with Enterprise will go beyond the "where" and "what" of travel to get to the "why" behind people's journeys – exploring what they hope to achieve and learn along the way, and how their travels help them dive deeper into the things they care most about. Stories also aim to inspire new travel ideas and enable better travel experiences.
"Today, we are truly living in the 'Age of Experience.' No matter where we are going in life, there's a purpose behind our journeys, as we strive to experience all that each day has to offer and explore the things we're most passionate about," said Lee Broughton, vice president, Enterprise North American Brand Marketing. "Pursuits with Enterprise will chronicle these purpose-filled adventures. It will feature travel-related content that you can't get anywhere else – content that aims to move you, and inspire us all to seek out and discover the purpose behind our own travels."
Among the stories featured in the debut of the digital magazine is a video called "The Blind Hike." It spotlights Charles and Bob, a father and son who fuel their passion for adventure by hiking through some of the most challenging landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. This is no ordinary hike, however; Charles lost his eyesight at the age of 12. But both he and his dad, exploring step-by-step together as one, show us how this loss of eyesight has led them to a new level of vision, forming an unbreakable bond that only grows stronger with each new adventure.
"'The Blind Hike' is just one of many stories we plan to tell in the months ahead," said Broughton. "And these will be tales that go well beyond highlighting travel destinations. They will all reflect the rich layers of meaning in the name Pursuits; a pursuit can be a hobby, a chase, the act of striving for something – a pursuit of the mind, of the heart, or of the soul. We will explore and chronicle the entire travel experience, including not only interactions but also inner journeys that have the power to change our lives."
"Our customers tell us often about their daily grind and how busy their lives have become; we're excited to showcase how attainable meaningful weekend escapes and short jaunts of discovery can be," said Broughton. "We have an ambitious digital strategy that represents a significant opportunity for us to inspire and enable more frequent travel occasions."
In addition to launching Pursuits with Enterprise, the brand is also deepening its connections with customers by expanding its presence in other areas that they are passionate about – notably, music and sports.
For example, after its customers ranked music as one of their deepest passions, Enterprise partnered with Live Nation, the world's leading live entertainment company. As an Official Partner of Live Nation, Enterprise will launch a series of initiatives that will help customers get closer to the songs and artists they love most. In addition, Enterprise will roll out a series of videos in the months ahead tied to both its NCAA and NHL sponsorships.
