ProsperWorks Announces Upcoming Features for Gmail Add-on and Google Hangouts Chat
New features will modernize CRM and put critical information right where sales teams need it most
SAN FRANCISCO, March 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- At the Google Cloud Next '17 conference earlier this month, Google unveiled Hangouts Chat, an intelligent communication app for teams, and Gmail Add-ons, a new way for G Suite users to access third-party apps directly from Gmail. Today, G Suite-recommended CRM ProsperWorks (www.prosperworks.com) announced upcoming integrations for both products.
As a CRM solution purpose-built for G Suite, ProsperWorks offers deep integration with apps Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, and more. The new additions will further streamline interactions between sales reps, their customers and their teams while making sales data easily accessible from anywhere users choose to work.
The ProsperWorks Gmail Add-on, which is now in development, will give sales reps access to critical information like contact details, lead status, past interactions, and more, right where they need it most: their inbox. While this feature is already available to some users through ProsperWorks' Chrome browser extension, the new Gmail Add-on is platform agnostic and gives users more options to work however and wherever they choose. Users will be able to access ProsperWorks in the Gmail inbox from any browser or device, including on mobile via the Gmail app on iOS and Android.
The ProsperWorks Google Hangouts Chat integration will allow teams to access and track real-time sales updates directly within dedicated, virtual chat rooms. The ability to receive immediate sales alerts within Chat will simplify workflows and enhance productivity. Sales reps and managers will get notified when a lead is created and be able to track key data changes, including ownership, stage and status. Users will also be able to chat with an automated ProsperWorks bot to access specific information, including sales rep quotas and call logs.
"Email is still the epicenter of the modern workflow. Sales teams should be able to perform their most important functions right from their inbox, no matter what device or browser they're on," said Jon Lee, co-founder and CEO of ProsperWorks. "But that's not all. Messaging is quickly becoming the preferred method of communication for both consumers and businesses. As more teams turn to messaging apps to drive internal communication, we see both integrations as a way to deepen our link between CRM and the modern productivity tools that make work happen."
Both features are expected to roll out later this year. For early product images, please visit http://bit.ly/pwgooglenext.
