WASHINGTON, July 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Plumbing Pipe Advocate is urging anyone who is about to purchase an existing home in any US state to include a plumbing inspection by a reputable local plumbing contractor. The reason they are urging this is so the soon to be homeowner knows they are not buying a home that needs to be replumbed because it has defective plumbing pipe or because the home's plumbing system needs to be replaced because of the age of the pipe. In the event the home needs to be replumbed-the replacement cost might be something that could be negotiated with the seller.

Types of defective/worn out plumbing pipes a Home Buyer should be aware of Prior to purchasing a Home from the Plumbing Pipe Advocate:
- Polybutylene Plumbing Pipe: Polybutylene plumbing was used in millions of homes built in the United States from 1978 until 1995.
- Chinese Copper Plumbing Pipe: Chinese copper plumbing pipe was first introduced in single family homes in the early 2000's and it is still being used today.
