Planet Smoothie Launches 'Give a $1, Get a $1' to Benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure®
Customers will Receive Smoothie Bucks for Future Smoothie Purchases
ATLANTA, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Planet Smoothie, a Petrus Brands company intent on redefining the smoothie category, announces "Give $1, Get $1" in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. For every dollar donated by a customer between October 11 and November 14, customers will receive a $1 off Smoothie Buck to use towards the purchase of a small, medium or large smoothie on a future visit.
"Give a $1, Get a $1" continues Planet Smoothie's national partnership with Komen for the Cure. Between June 1, 2010 and May 31, 2011, Planet Smoothie pledged to raise a minimum of $100,000 to benefit Komen. In June 2010, Planet Smoothie launched the Pink Promise Smoothie, researched and developed by Planet Smoothie's nutritionist and approved by Susan G. Komen for the Cure's breast health experts. The Pink Promise Smoothie is the first product developed in partnership to benefit Komen for the Cure and features a blend of pomegranate juice, ruby red grapefruit juice, strawberries and Planet Smoothie's proprietary yogurt, Pro-Yo, which is sweetened with stevia and contains both prebiotics and probiotics.
