Picture Yourself Winning 250,000 AAdvantage Miles in American Airlines Spot, Snap and Send Sweepstakes
A Total of 1,500,000 AAdvantage Miles Will Be Awarded to Six Lucky New Yorkers
NEW YORK Nov. 23, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines has descended upon the streets of Manhattan in the form of advertisements on taxi tops, buses, phone kiosks, bus shelters, urban panels and newsstands. It's all to promote the airline's schedule, inflight experience and nonstop service from New York City to 61 destinations throughout the United States and around the world. From now until Dec. 30, New Yorkers will have good reason to stop and take notice of the new advertising campaign. Customers who spot an American Airlines ad, snap a photo and submit it via www.aa.com/nycwin will be entered for a chance to win one of six 250,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles prizes.
American will select one weekly winner for a total of six winners. Each winner will receive a quarter million AAdvantage miles which may be used for travel on American Airlines, American Eagle, AmericanConnection®, oneworld® carriers or AAdvantage participating airlines. In addition to redeeming AAdvantage miles for air travel on American Airlines and partner airlines, winners can also redeem miles for various travel and non-travel related products and services.
"What better way to demonstrate our commitment to New York than by telling the American Airlines story with a highly-visible advertising campaign," said Art Torno, Vice President – New York. "American and its regional airline affiliates serve approximately 250 cities in over 40 countries, so winners of the Spot, Snap and Send Sweepstakes can travel to plenty of destinations with their 250,000 AAdvantage miles."
The Spot, Snap and Send Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, ages 18 years or older who have registered on www.aa.com/nycwin. New Yorkers who snap photos of any American advertisements in New York will receive one sweepstakes entry for each photo successfully uploaded on www.aa.com/nycwin or e-mailed to [email protected]. Customers can receive an additional sweepstakes entry each week by submitting photos of the weekly featured advertisement on www.aa.com/nycwin and selecting the weekly ad check box on the upload page of the site. They can also share sweepstakes information with a friend via e-mail, Facebook or Twitter on www.aa.com/nycwin for yet another sweepstakes entry per week.
