PharmaNet Experts To Share Insights At DIA Annual Meeting In June

On Tuesday, June 15, Betty Kuhnert, PhD, MBA, Executive Director, Training Services, will chair a panel entitled "Learning, Survival, Success, and Career Development." During this session she will present "You Don't Have to Learn From Your Career Mistakes: You Can Avoid Making Them in the First Place." Dr. Kuhnert has had a long career in clinical pharmacology, clinical research and clinical operations in both academia and large pharmaceutical companies. Recently, Dr. Kuhnert enhanced PharmaNet's training system, adding more than 30 on-line learning sessions focused on clinical development. The new webinars reduce the time in which new employees complete their training curriculum, enhancing quality and SOP adherence throughout the 34 locations and 42 countries in which the Company operates. She is currently developing a unique and progressive new leadership development program for the Company. Dr. Kuhnert has been active in the DIA since joining the pharmaceutical industry.
On Wednesday, June 16, Duu-Gong Wu, Executive Director, PharmaNet Consulting, will present "Overview of Follow-on Biologics in the Region" in a session devoted to the "Recent Advancement of Follow-on Biologics in Asian Pacific Region." Prior to joining PharmaNet, Dr. Wu served at the FDA for more than twelve years as a reviewer, Chemistry Team Leader, and, most recently, as Deputy Division Director of Division of New Drug Chemistry II, Office of New Drug Chemistry in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. His career at FDA encompassed a unique combination of regulatory experience in the development of small molecules, peptides, botanical products as well as biotechnology/biological products. At PharmaNet, Dr. Wu provides strategic clinical development consultation to clients in a variety of therapeutic areas.
Also on Wednesday, June 16, David Knepper, Executive Director, Clinical Research and Head of Investigator Services, will take part in a panel discussion on "Investigators Needed! Why Clinical Research Should Be Part of Your Practice." Mr. Knepper has over 24 years of experience with site and project management in the pharmaceutical industry including direct experience with patient recruitment from the perspective of an investigational site, CRO, biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Currently he leads PharmaNet's Investigator Services department, which includes Grants and Contracts and Patient Recruitment.
