Pepsi MAX MLB Field of Dreams Game To Be Hosted In Rochester, NY
After Receiving the Most Fan Votes, Local Resident Johnny Perotti Will Bring Team of Major League Baseball Legends to Rochester
PURCHASE, N.Y., Sept. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- After being selected as the American League (AL) consumer winner of the Pepsi MAX MLB Field of Dreams program, Rochester, NY resident Johnny Perotti edged out National League (NL) consumer winner Stephen Katchmark in the hometown voting competition to officially bring the Pepsi MAX MLB Field of Dreams Game to Rochester, NY at a date and location to be determined.
Both Perotti and Katchmark were selected as the consumer winners in the second year of the program, which allowed fans to vote for their favorite MLB legends from the AL and NL at www.mlb.com/pepsimax. The two winners along with the fan-selected AL and NL Pepsi MAX Field of Dreams teams were announced during the 2012 MLB All-Star Game in Kansas City, MO, and from July 10 – August 15 fans voted for which hometown should host the AL vs. NL match-up.
"This is truly a dream come true, and I could not be more excited to bring the Pepsi MAX MLB Field of Dreams Game to my hometown of Rochester," said the 26-year old Perotti. "To have the chance to actually play alongside these MLB legends right here in my own backyard is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
As the home team, Perotti and five of his friends will join five MLB legends from the AL roster for a baseball game against Katchmark, who will head to Rochester from his hometown of Washington D.C., his five friends and five MLB legends from the NL team.

- Outfielders - Ken Griffey, Jr., Rickey Henderson and Reggie Jackson
- Starting Pitcher – Jim Palmer
- Relief Pitcher – Dennis Eckersley
- Designated Hitter – Paul Molitor
