PeopleMatter Announces Additions to Board of Directors
Board Consists of Industry Financial, Technology, and Human Resources Leaders
CHARLESTON, S.C., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- PeopleMatter, an emerging software company that provides end-to-end strategic human resource software solutions for small to medium-sized restaurant, hospitality, transportation and convenience stores (c-stores), announced today significant additions to the company's Board of Directors.
PeopleMatter has assembled an impressive Board of Directors made up of true industry leaders. Board members are as follows:
- Mitch Mumma, Intersouth Partners: Mitch is primarily responsible for Intersouth's technology portfolio. He joined Intersouth in 1989 at the inception of Fund II. Mitch has full-cycle venture investment experience and has held management positions with various companies throughout his career, including three start-up companies, all of which subsequently went public. Prior to joining Intersouth, Mitch worked in finance and operations for a high growth computer hardware and software company and as a manager in the high growth business practice at Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte & Touche).
- Wayne Hunter, Harbert Management Corporation (HMC): Wayne L. Hunter was named as one of the "25 Most Influential People in Southeast Technology" by TechJournal South. Prior to joining HMC, he was a founding Managing Director and the head of Wachovia's Technology Investment Banking Group.
- John E. Cay III, Wells Fargo Insurance Services: Cay currently serves as vice chairman of Wells Fargo Insurance Services, the third largest insurance brokerage firm in the United States. Cay formerly served as chairman of Wachovia Insurance Services. Previously, he served as chairman and chief executive officer of Palmer & Cay, until its merger with Wachovia in 2005. During his career Cay has served as a board member, director, or chairman for more than 30 organizations, including two New York Stock Exchange companies and a number of the region's most prestigious not-for-profit entities.
- Phil Fauver, ADP Employease Inc.: As the retired chairman and chief executive officer of ADP Employease, Fauver has more than 30 years of experience directing the introduction, positioning and establishment of leading edge technology. Previously at PeopleSoft, Mr. Fauver held senior executive positions with responsibilities for U.S. sales, field deployment, recruiting, organizational design and operations. From 1991 to 1999, he served on the CEO's senior management advisory team and played a leading role in driving PeopleSoft's growth from approximately $6 million to almost $1 billion in revenue.
In addition, Ted Bender, co-founder of Croft & Bender, acts in an advisory position on the PeopleMatter Board of Directors. Bender was a managing director of the corporate finance department at The Robinson-Humphrey Company, Inc. and was a member of its Board of Directors. Bender has been involved in virtually all types of transactions with companies in many industries, including general manufacturing, healthcare, technology, restaurants, insurance, banking, and business services. Bender has served and continues to serve on the Boards of several corporations and is also a Managing Partner of C&B Capital, a growth equity fund affiliated with Croft & Bender.
