The newly scheduled briefing will be held at 7 p.m. at the County EOC, 400 North Lexington St., Pittsburgh – the same location of a similar briefing scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Earlier this month, President Barack Obama approved a federal disaster declaration for Public Assistance for storm costs from the severe snow storms that hit the state Feb. 5 – 11.

The applicant briefings, which are the first of two meetings required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, will offer an overview of the federal reimbursement process and the required documentation for applications. At the briefing, each applicant should be prepared to schedule their kick-off meeting – the second FEMA-required meeting – starting the week of May 3.
Applicants with questions about the briefings should contact their county emergency management office.
