STAMFORD, Conn., Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) today announced that Paul J. Cancienne II will join Charter as Vice President, Legislative Affairs, effective October 21. In this role, Mr. Cancienne will oversee Charter's federal legislative efforts. He will be based in the company's Washington, DC office, reporting to Catherine Bohigian, Charter Executive Vice President, Government Affairs.

Mr. Cancienne joins Charter from the office of United States Senator John McCain, where he served as General Counsel. Prior to that, he spent many years in high-level staff positions in the House of Representatives, including as Deputy Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack and as Policy Coordinator for the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade.
