DENVER, Sept. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company, a leader in implementing advanced technology solutions serving sports, entertainment and retail industries, is working with the Bristol Motor Speedway to adapt its Colossus TV for the Pilot Flying J Battle at Bristol – the largest game in college football history on September 10, 2016 when the Volunteers of the University of Tennessee take on the Hokies of Virginia Tech.

Panasonic Xperiences™, the digital networks content and service team associated within the Panasonic Sensory Solutions group, will provide a full suite of production and control room services, including cutting-edge, high-definition content, dynamic imaging technology, custom animations, live game day support, event management and broadcast support.
Prior to the game, the Panasonic Xperiences team will consult on all technical aspects of Colossus TV, including the placement of video cameras, booking of crews and engineering services. Panasonic will also oversee the complete clock and statistical data paths and act as a liaison between Bristol Motor Speedway and ABC/ESPN TV, ensuring that all broadcast requirements and needs are met. The Panasonic Xperiences team is working with Bristol Motor Speedway to produce all aspects of a world-class in-stadium production. Those efforts include joint development of game day scripts, timelines and specialty content intended to enhance the fan experience and engagement through the use of the Panasonic Dynamic Canvas™ platform, a one-of-a-kind statistics and data parsing solution for the game.
During the game, Panasonic will take charge of the event's Colossus TV Show which includes the direction of a 35-plus-person team for a seamless execution of on-field, video production, bands and fan engagement activities. Together with the Bristol Motor Speedway team, Panasonic Xperiences is leading the development of the most sophisticated and exciting in-venue experience ever produced.

Panasonic provided the initial systems integration, installation and support to develop and deploy the state-of-the-art video boards and control room at Bristol Motor Speedway in the spring of this year. The speedway boasts the world's largest, outdoor only, free-standing, center hung screen display in the world. The structure weighs 135,000 pounds (more than 67 tons). Colossus features four LED video displays, each one measuring 63 feet wide and 29.5 feet tall, offering 1,864.8 total square feet of viewing area per side.
