Panasonic Launches Digital Advertising Campaign, Website Aimed at Grandparents and Parents for its New HomeTeam™ App
NEWARK, N.J., April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic Corporation of North America announced plans to roll out an integrated digital advertising campaign and unveil a new website to support its launch of HomeTeam™, an interactive, cloud-based service that creates shared experiences with grandparents and grandchildren through book reading and game playing over video chats. The service is the next best thing to being there in-person, creating common ground and allowing users to interact and feel more connected.
Over the next six weeks, Panasonic will work with media and consumer organizations serving the family market – grandparents, parents and children – to introduce HomeTeam on a national scale to a wider range of consumers. App service features and benefits will be highlighted through a targeted mix of print ads, digital banners, bloggers and social media channels.
Designed for grandparents and grandchildren (ages four to eleven), HomeTeam is delivered on iOS and Android tablets, and personal computers on web browsers supported by Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. The app can be downloaded from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. More than 600 titles of popular children's books are available and users can choose from a varied selection of age-appropriate multiplayer games.
"Busy family schedules and time difference are often cited as the biggest challenges in strengthening family connections," said Steve Safier, President, Health & Wellness Solutions of Panasonic Corporation of North America. "HomeTeam is designed to answer this growing need by addressing the unique challenges facing families striving to maintain and build regular contact. The service is convenient, easy to use and creates authentic experiences with the power to unite families, anytime and anywhere."
First-time users have unlimited access to content and features, free of charge for 30 days. Subscription for continued access to unlimited content is available either monthly ($8.99/month) or annually ($89.99/year). If users choose not to subscribe, they can still enjoy HomeTeam's video chat features without access to content.
Today, there are 70 million grandparents in the U.S., representing one-third of the population. According to the AARP, over 50 percent live more than 100 miles away from their grandchildren. With more grandparents adopting technology as a means to overcome distance and connect, HomeTeam creates a natural environment to start real conversations, have fun and build lasting memories.
