SEATTLE, March 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Outreach, the leading sales engagement platform, today announces Outreach Amplify, a new program for Outreach customers that uses machine learning to scientifically measure, test, and optimize the performance of sales teams, while also automating non-selling tasks on their behalf. Outreach Amplify, which will be integrated into the Outreach platform, analyzes structured and unstructured data records related to historical sales cycles and uses this data to present sales reps with targeted recommendations on how to close more deals, faster.
Outreach Amplify provides sales teams with:
- Context to make better decisions. Outreach Amplify delivers data-backed insights that help reps select the content and sequences most likely to perform, decide when to reach out and have the right conversations with each prospect.
- Help prioritizing actions. Outreach Amplify compares all aspects of deals in the pipeline to historical sales cycles and identifies the actions most likely to move deals forward.
- More time to sell through the automation of non-selling tasks. Data-driven insights can be used to automate administrative and non-selling activities such as data analysis.
- New ways for sales managers to evaluate their team's performance as well as measure and experiment with new techniques.
"Machine learning is only valuable when it provides actionable insights that humans trust and act on," said Manny Medina, CEO and co-founder of Outreach. "When it's a black box operating behind the scenes, it's just noise that most users ignore. That's why we built Amplify to be transparent. The sales teams who use Outreach can see how the machine came up with a recommendation and what lift they can expect if they take that recommendation. Because in the end, machine learning isn't about replacing human analysis and decision making, it's about amplifying it."
Outreach today also unveils the first technology powered by Outreach Amplify: Intent Classification. Intent Classification uses Natural Language Processing to detect the intent of an email reply from a prospect and uses that intent to help sales teams understand the true effectiveness of their email strategy and better optimize future outreach.
Specifically, Intent Classification classifies prospects' replies to sales emails as positive, objections or unsubscribe requests, giving managers actionable insights into email performance beyond vanity metrics such as open, click through, and reply rates. This new layer of insights allows managers to evaluate what drives initial positive outcomes, how well their team handles objections and successful techniques that turn objections into positive outcomes. Intent Classification is 92 percent accurate in classifying email content and is 75 times more efficient than a human manually doing the same task.
"Outreach has provided me with a tool that helps us gain useful insights into what communications work for my team and what's falling flat," said Kamal Suffoletta, Global Head of Sales Development, Glassdoor. "In turn, we can provide better coaching for our reps, which supports their success and Glassdoor's."
Intent Classification is the first of many new capabilities and enhancements powered by Outreach Amplify that will become available in the coming months.
Outreach will be highlighting Amplify's capabilities this year at Unleash. To see all features available on the Outreach platform, click here.
