TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Outback Steakhouse® will honor our heroes with a special luncheon at the Miami Veterans Healthcare facility to recognize U.S. Hispanic veterans in the community. Through a partnership with Miami VA Healthcare System, the local Outback Steakhouse® staff will serve lunch to the largely Hispanic membership. As a brand that is deeply committed to supporting the troops, active duty and veterans alike, Outback would like to acknowledge U.S. Hispanic veterans, who according to the U.S. Census in 2011 represented more than 1.2 million people.

Outback Steakhouse® will honor all service members with a free Bloomin' Onion® and a beverage on November 11 in celebration of Veterans Day. And, because Veterans Day is not long enough to fully express the nation's gratitude, Outback is honoring all service members with 10% off their meals Nov 12 through Dec. 31. These offers are open to all active and former military service members with a valid ID.

For more than 20 years, Outback Steakhouse® has proudly supported our nation's troops. Outback has donated over $2 million to Operation Homefront to assist military families during difficult financial times by providing food assistance, auto and home repair, vision care, travel and transportation, moving assistance, essential home items and financial assistance.
