Orangetheory® Fitness Awards Members More Than $50,000 During National Weight Loss Challenge
- Largest Weight Loss Challenge in Brand's History Breaks Records with 37,245 Pounds Lost -
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Orangetheory® Fitness, the energizing and fast-growing fitness franchise, has announced its most successful National Weight Loss Challenge to date with more than 37,245 pounds lost. Orangetheory Fitness began its National Weight Loss Challenge on January 15, and for six weeks, thousands of members pushed themselves to achieve ultimate results with cash prizes totaling $50,000. Winners were chosen by the highest percentage of weight lost over the six weeks and participated in an initial, mid-point and final weigh in.
The top male and female winners received cash winnings totaling $50,000, with the first place winners taking home $10,000 each. The first place male winner lost more than 60 pounds (23.44 percent) in six weeks, and the top female winner lost more than 31 pounds (23.31 percent). The winners are located across the U.S. and Canada, including Willow Grove, Pa.; Ft. Myers, Fla.; Channelside, Fla.; South Jordan, Utah; Creekside, Canada; Dublin, Ohio; West Windsor, N.J.; Shelton, Conn.; Cooper City, Fla.; and Brookfield, Wis.
