IAMGOLD Corp. Analyst Notes
On May 27, 2014, IAMGOLD Corp. (IAMGOLD) released an update on the ongoing exploration activities at its newly optioned Monster Lake project. According to the Company, it has completed the phase one diamond drilling program totalling 4,528 metres (9 holes) targeting the direct down-dip and lateral extensions of the 325-Megane mineralized zone. Other highlights include 10.47 metres grading 11.55 g/t Au from 457.0 metres depth in hole ML-14-108 and intersection of a footwall zone grading 13.65 g/t Au over 3.77 metres from 636.86m depth. Meanwhile, the drilling to date has confirmed the presence of three sheared, altered and mineralized zones: the Upper 325-Megane Zone, the 325-Megane Zone previously outlined by TomaGold's most recent drilling and the Lower 325-Megane Zone. Continental Resources Inc. Analyst Notes
On June 3, 2014, Continental Resources Inc. (Continental) announced that it will redeem all of its outstanding 8 ¼% Senior Notes due October 1, 2019 on July 11, 2014. The Company stated that the redemption price for the Notes is equivalent to the sum of principal amount of the 2019 Notes outstanding, the make-whole amount calculated in accordance with the terms of the 2019 Notes and the related indenture under which the 2019 Notes were issued, and the accrued and unpaid interest on the 2019 Notes up to the redemption date. Encana Corporation Analyst Notes
On June 3, 2014, Encana Corporation (Encana) announced that the over-allotment option granted to the underwriters to purchase up to an additional 7.8 million common shares at the offering price has been exercised in full for additional aggregate gross proceeds to the Company of $218.4 million. The over-allotment is in connection with the initial public offering of 52 million common shares of PrairieSky at an offering price of $28.00. The sale of shares under the over-allotment option brings aggregate gross proceeds to approximately $1.67 billion, which will make the Company take hold of 54% of the common shares of PrairieSky. Penn Virginia Corporation Analyst Notes
On June 2, 2014, Penn Virginia Corporation (Penn Virginia) announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Mississippi assets for gross cash proceeds of $72.7 million, expected to close in July 2014 subject to customary closing conditions. As a result of the divestiture, the 2014 production is expected to decrease by nearly 1.9 billion cubic feet of natural gas equivalent (Bcfe). Penn Virginia reported that the divested properties had a net production of approximately 11.9 million cubic feet of natural gas equivalent per day during Q1 2014, while estimated proved reserves were 85.3 Bcfe and nearly 100% of which were natural gas.
