Radar by Omni United Kicks Off Year-Long Partnership with BCRF to Support Breast Cancer Research
NEW YORK, May 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Omni United, one of the fastest growing and most dynamic designers and manufacturers of tires in the world, has kicked off 'Mobilizing Hope' - a year-long partnership with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) starting this month.
In an industry first, Radar, the flagship tire brand of Singapore-based Omni United, will donate to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation $.25 per each Radar tire sold, with a committed minimum annual donation of $250,000. Omni United and Radar have enjoyed significant success and growth over the last few years and the company's current objective is to increase both awareness and funds to support the efforts of BCRF, with the goal of raising $1 million over the next year. 'Mobilizing Hope' will launch in the United States (in addition to Radar's other top markets including the United Kingdom) this month, with products benefiting BCRF available from more than 12,000 leading tire retailers serviced by TCI through May 2012. In addition, starting in August 2011 the full range of Radar tires will be available at 867 Sears Auto Centers across the US.
In addition to Radar's core products, which include the well-known Dimax R8 and the RPX800 UHP tire ranges, the program will include all of Radar's new ranges, such as the Centigrade RWX1, Radar's first winter tire, the Verenti R6 UHP range and the Renegade R5 mud terrain range, introduced at the end March. All the tires will have distinct labeling identifying the product as supportive of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Omni will make efforts over the next year to share BCRF's message.
"We at Omni-Radar believe that our company has a responsibility to the world beyond making a safe, durable, eco-friendly, and attractive tire for our customers," said G.S. Sareen, President and CEO of Omni United. "We are proud and excited to establish this relationship with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, one of the most highly regarded not-for-profit organizations in the world. We are great fans of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation's work and dedication to the global cause of fighting breast cancer, a disease that has touched the lives of many in our communities. We admire BCRF's efficiency and relentless focus on funding the most cutting edge medical research to prevent and find a cure for breast cancer. We would like Radar Tires to leave a different type of mark in the world."
"The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is thrilled that Radar Tires chose to join us in our fight against breast cancer and to support our important work," said Evelyn Lauder, Founder and Chairman of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
"Radar Tires' 'Mobilizing Hope' campaign will not only help spread our message globally, but it has the potential to reach and impact men as well," said Myra Biblowit, President of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. "This disease touches mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, and friends. Radar Tires' contributions will help fund innovative research that will advance the fight against breast cancer worldwide."
