Olympia Entertainment, Detroit Red Wings Continue Decades-Long Partnership As Coca-Cola Signs On As Landmark Partner At Little Caesars Arena
Partnership includes designation as exclusive beverage provider of Detroit Red Wings, Little Caesars Arena, Fox Theatre, Hockeytown Cafe, plus Red Wings Opening Night and fan experience sponsorships
DETROIT, July 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Olympia Entertainment today announced that after serving as the official beverage provider at Joe Louis Arena throughout its 38-year history, Coca-Cola has signed on to a multi-year agreement as a Landmark-level partner at Little Caesars Arena. As part of the sponsorship, Coca-Cola will serve as the presenting sponsor for the historic Home Opener at Little Caesars Arena, when the venue opens its doors to the public for the first 2017-18 regular season Detroit Red Wings home game.
Coca-Cola also becomes the exclusive beverage provider of the Red Wings, Little Caesars Arena, Fox Theatre and Hockeytown Cafe. Coca-Cola will ensure Red Wings' fans and visitors to these venues are refreshed as they support the home team and enjoy world-class entertainment.
In addition, Coca-Cola will be the presenting sponsor of the "Coca-Cola Fan Experience," an augmented reality activation located on the lower level concourse of Little Caesars Arena. As visitors walk through this area, they'll see themselves projected on a large video wall alongside up to four Red Wings players. This unique experience makes an amazing photo opportunity for fans, as Red Wings players appear to be standing right next to them. Coca-Cola will also be the featured brand on several arena concession stands.
"We are delighted to have Coca-Cola – one of the world's most recognizable brands and an American favorite – as one of our Landmark Partners at Little Caesars Arena," said Tom Wilson, president and CEO of Olympia Entertainment. "We've had a great partnership with them for many years at Joe Louis Arena, and even as far back as Olympia Stadium. The addition of their augmented reality experience is going to provide a fun, creative way for fans to make amazing memories at Little Caesars Arena."
"Coca-Cola is excited to continue our long-standing partnership with the Detroit Red Wings," said Matthew Barribeau, Michigan Market Unit President, Great Lakes Coca-Cola. "We see this partnership as a commitment to the ongoing renewal of Detroit."
Coca-Cola will also continue to sponsor the "Detroit Red Wings Experience" – a year-round traveling interactive program where fans of all ages can test their hockey skills, engage in fun activities and have the chance to win autographed merchandise and tickets to games at Little Caesars Arena – giving fans throughout the state of Michigan an opportunity to engage in the excitement of Red Wings hockey.
