Ogilvy Washington Announces New Hire to the 360 Digital Influence Practice
WASHINGTON, Aug. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR) announced today a significant senior hire to the Washington, D.C. office. Rebecca Davis will join Ogilvy Washington as an executive vice president and group head of the agency's 360 Digital Influence practice.

Davis joins Ogilvy Washington from Discovery Communications, where she developed digital and brand strategies across Discovery's U.S. networks. At Discovery she created and ran the digital media planning and partnership team, wrote Discovery's first social media strategy, and led Discovery Channel's award-winning Influencer program. Her background also includes building and managing HSN.com's digital marketing team, working at several technology start-ups, and consulting in Accenture's communications and technology practices.
Davis's seventeen plus years' experience in consumer media and technology platforms encompasses strategic marketing, communications strategy, consumer research, and deep knowledge of paid, earned and owned media. Her combination of creative development, brand strategy and new platform adoption has proved valuable for clients across industries.
