Ocean City Renews MGH as Agency of Record after Unanimous Vote
MGH, which has served as the popular destination's agency since 2002, was awarded a new, two-year contract
BALTIMORE, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- MGH, an integrated marketing communications agency, announced today that Ocean City, Md., Department of Tourism has extended its contract with the agency through 2012 after a unanimous vote by the Ocean City Council. Under the new agreement, MGH will continue to provide advertising, media buying, public relations, social media, and interactive services for the tourist destination. Last year, MGH was once again selected as the agency of record following a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process among nine other agencies from around the region. MGH has worked with the destination in a full-service capacity since 2002.

The renewal comes on the heels of another successful season for the tourist destination. This past summer, MGH built on its "Rodney" the spokesguard advertising campaign, where he expanded his efforts to save people from boredom by rescuing citizens along the entire East Coast. In addition, the agency developed and launched Ocean City's iPhone and Android apps, and helped its Facebook page surpass 100,000 fans – the most of any East Coast beach destination.
