NEW YORK, Jan. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NYLON Media today announce participation at NATPE's 2017 global content conference in Miami, FL kicking off on Tuesday, January 17. On-site, NYLON & Socialyte's President & Chairman, Jamie Elden, will be moderating a curated panel of some of the industry's most distinguished thought-leaders in the content space.
The panel will sit within the "Platforms" track and will be titled "Screen Queens – How to Differentiate and Win in the Content Creation Game," discussing the four key factors—talent, creative, platforms, and audience—in which today's ever changing landscape is driving new formats and distributing content horizontally rather than vertically.
The featured panelists will represent all aspects of the content supply chain, from ideation to creative execution to distribution. Panelists include media industry luminaries Lucilla D'Agostino (EVP of Current Programming & Development, Sirens Media), Sarah Early (Digital Agent, United Talent Agency), Brett-Patrick Jenkins (Head of Development, Propagate Content), David Tochterman (CEO, Canvas Media Studios).
To heighten the momentum already achieved for the media company this year following on from the re-ignition of NYLON Guys, and Lena Dunham as Cover Star for the February issue, NYLON will announce the launch of NYLON Productions at this year's NATPE conference. As the first TV/video programming arm, the on-screen addition to the company will be responsible for original programming in both short and long format. This formation created in June already has 2 series in development and a healthy 2017 programming slate. Q1 of 2017 sees the premiere of an entertainment news series, leveraging the brand's original content and access of its award-winning print and digital platforms. This high-octane news roundup of all things fashion, beauty, entertainment, and pop-culture will be produced through the signature NYLON lens. These 10 minute segments will present a new platform to NYLON's global audience, further extending its reach and authority in exploring cultures and trends from around the world.
"NYLON is emerging as a major player in the content space, and the appetite for 'more' originals from our audience has increased dramatically. As a result, we've carved out a unique, yet scalable space for ourselves in today's cluttered content landscape," says NYLON's President Jamie Elden.
Celebrating 54 years of service to the ever-evolving global television industry, NATPE inspires the growth and success of content across all platforms by hosting an annual marketplace and conference that pulls content buyers, sellers, distributors, advertisers, and influencers from around the globe to make deals and share in the international conversation. Miami sits at the nexus of this market, taking place in January to kick off the year with the biggest deals in content.
Joining Elden at NATPE will be colleagues Kristin Welton, VP of NYLON Studios and Lauren Cohen, VP of Marketing & Entertainment. Elden's panel at NATPE will take place on Wednesday, January 18 from 10:00-10:45am in the Ocean Tower Salon 2 B/C. Please visit this link for more information. Following NATPE, NYLON will be celebrating the launch of NYLON Productions at this year's Sundance Festival, where they will be hosting their annual Apres-Ski Party on January 21.
