VISTA, Calif., Aug. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- NuFACE, pioneers in innovative, at-home anti-aging solutions, announced today the appointment of two executive team members—Ted Schwarz, President and Shawna Weinman, Senior Vice President of Global Retail. Schwarz and Weinman bring NuFACE a combined 30+ years of industry experience spanning the professional, retail and DRTV channels.
Schwarz brings NuFACE an impressive background in business leadership rooted in the professional skincare industry. Most recently as President of Sienna Labs, he was instrumental in developing the company's business plan to bring to market innovative topical technologies for the treatment of both aesthetic and disease based dermatological conditions. Prior to that Schwarz served as President of SkinMedica, where he led the commercial, R & D, and new product teams resulting in seven years of market leading growth and SkinMedica's successful sale to Allergan, Inc. for approximately $350 million in December, 2012. Prior to SkinMedica, Schwarz held positions in executive sales and marketing leadership at Galderma and La Roche-Posay, a L'Oreal company.
Schwarz commented, "I am excited to join NuFACE at such a dynamic time. Their 2016 YTD growth of 70%+ is truly impressive and future new product, channel and international launches will only add to our momentum."
Recognized for her results-driven leadership, Weinman brings a global, multi-vertical perspective to NuFACE. Joining the company from TARTE Cosmetics as Senior Vice President of Global Strategy, she boasts a strong beauty background, having previously been with Cargo Cosmetics and Rexaline Skincare. These brands have provided Weinman with a strong understanding of key NuFACE retailers including QVC, Sephora, and ULTA that enable her to identify growth opportunities and further channel development.
"We're thrilled to have Ted and Shawna join the NuFACE team," shared Tera Peterson, NuFACE CEO and Co-Founder. "Their impressive background, industry insight and strategic vision make them invaluable assets to the brand, and will be instrumental in the continued, global growth of NuFACE," added Peterson.
