NS2 Serves Welcomes Retired Army Colonel Adam Rocke as New Managing Director
ROCKVILLE, Md., April 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- NS2 Serves, an independent nonprofit organization that offers training and employment assistance to veterans, announced today the appointment of Adam Rocke as its new managing director.
A retired U.S. Army Colonel, Rocke is a staunch advocate for veterans and their families, with more than 30 years of experience directing, managing, and coordinating various military programs. Prior to joining NS2 Serves, Rocke was the vice president for veterans affairs at FASTPORT Inc., and prior to that served as director of the Soldier for Life Program, leading the U.S. Army's effort to create a network of enablers connecting soldiers, veterans, and families with employment education and healthcare to successfully reintegrate into civilian society.
"We are thrilled to welcome Adam to the NS2 Serves family, and it's a privilege to reunite with him through our shared devotion of helping fellow veterans," said NS2 Serves chairman General (Ret.) John Campbell, whom Rocke served under during his service in the Army. "Adam is a strategic thinker with a true passion for public service, and I'm confident his expansive leadership background will be a tremendous asset to our program."
In his new role as managing director, Rocke will oversee the administration and strategic direction of the program. Additionally, he will lead community outreach efforts to increase awareness of NS2 Serves within the transitioning military and private sector communities. One initiative is the #NS2ServesNEXT Jeep Project, a road show tour designed to raise awareness and funding for future program courses. Rocke will be onsite at various events along the tour, culminating at the Barrett-Jackson auction on Uncasville, CT on June 26th, where proceeds from the sale of Jeep will go directly to the NS2 Serves program.
"I am honored to join the incredible team at NS2 Serves and continue working on these issues close to my heart," said Rocke. "This is an amazing opportunity to make a real difference in the trajectory of the personal and professional lives of our transitioning veterans and their families."
This Friday, April 12th, 38 candidates will graduate from the spring 2019 class, bringing the total to 277 veterans that NS2 Serves has trained and obtained employment opportunities for, all at zero cost to the candidates. With the goal of training 400 veterans by 2021, NS2 Serves continues to expand and develop their training courses in world-class software solutions. The next course will be in San Antonio, TX and then in Leesburg, VA. If you or someone you know is looking to make the transition from combat boots to business suits, please visit www.ns2serves.org to learn more about the program.
