Now Open: Fuddruckers Brings The "World's Greatest Hamburgers" To Algonquin, Illinois

ALGONQUIN, Ill., Dec. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A 6,600-square-foot Fuddruckers fast casual restaurant has now taken the place of Cheeseburger in Paradise in Algonquin, IL, a northwest suburb of Chicago. Luby's, Inc., the parent company of both brands, operates the site, which is located at 1900 S. Randall Road in the popular Algonquin Commons lifestyle center. The restaurant officially opens today.

According to Peter Tropoli, Chief Operating Officer of Luby's, Inc., "Algonquin is an important market for us, and we are committed to being a part of this community. In fact, our involvement here since purchasing Cheeseburger in Paradise is what led us to realize that the family-oriented dynamics of this location were better suited to Fuddruckers. Additionally, a brand swap allowed us to accelerate renovations of the site to provide the village with a stylish gathering place in keeping with the demographics of the community."

The Algonquin Commons restaurant will serve as showcase for Fuddruckers' dynamic, new interior scheme.  While paying homage to the chain's signature, roadhouse look, the refreshed design caters to today's more sophisticated tastes.  A highlight of the venue – and unusual offering for most Fuddruckers restaurants – will be a full-service bar featuring a menu of beer, wine, cocktails and specialty drinks, including a variety of margaritas, mojitos, pina coladas and sangrias. A tasty selection of appetizers also appears on the menu, including nachos, popcorn and coconut shrimp, quesadillas and an old CIP favorite, frickles!
