North 6th Agency Reveals Six Most Influential Business Deals Of 2013
Panel of business executives, media influencers and analysts weigh in with rankings of business deals that captured the most headlines of 2013
NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- North 6th Agency (N6A), an award-winning communications agency based in New York City and San Francisco, announced today the results from the Business Deals category, classified as mergers & acquisitions, IPOs or major buyouts, in its first annual '6 on 6' program.
As part of the '6 on 6' program, N6A assembled a panel of business executives, media influencers, well-respected analysts and pundits with expertise across the business spectrum. N6A then solicited feedback and insights from the panel and asked them to rank the top six most influential stories of the year within the category.
Final results of the N6A '6 on 6' business deals category are as follows:

- Comcast acquiring 49 percent stake in NBC Universal from General Electric
- Twitter announcing IPO
- American Airlines $11 billion merger with US Airways
- Berkshire Hathaway and 3G Capital's $28 billion buyout of CPG giant H.J. Heinz Co
The Business Deals category is the fourth of six categories that N6A is announcing this month. Last week, N6A unveiled its top media and publishing stories which can be found at this link. Rankings of the two remaining categories -- Brand Advertising/Marketing, and Brand Crises-- will be revealed on a weekly basis until the final week of 2013. The panelist could not be employed by, or compete with, a company that is indexed as one of the top stories in a category. The results of the rankings are representative of the average of the total sum of votes from each participant.
