NIKA Awarded Expansive MEDCOM Energy and Water Management Contract
MD Government Services Firm Continues to Support Army Consumption and Conservation Efforts
ROCKVILLE, Md., April 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NIKA, a global provider of architecture, engineering, and facilities operations management solutions, was recently awarded a multimillion dollar contract by the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) to provide professional services to support MEDCOM's Energy and Water Management Program. This program is defined by multiple federal guidelines and mandates, including Executive Order (EO) 13693 Planning for Federal Sustainability in the Next Decade and the Energy Independence Security Act of 2007 (EISA).
Under this contract, NIKA will conduct energy and water audits across multiple Army medical facilities across the globe, prepare energy and water master plans, provide retro and recommissioning services (RCx), consolidate MEDCOM data, provide data management support, perform data analysis, and provide HQ and regional support for energy and water conservation project planning and scope development, measurement and verification, utility bill validation, condition and equipment/system validation, consolidation of lessons learned, and training.
