NCC Media Agrees to License Digital Ad Ratings and Digital Brand Effect Solutions
NEW YORK, Feb. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Nielsen (NYSE: NLSN) announced today that NCC Media, a leading cable advertising, sales, marketing, and technology organization, has signed a renewal agreement for the company's local and national ratings data services. The multi-year agreement will provide NCC Media with continued access to Nielsen industry-standard local and national TV ratings in all 210 measured markets.
The renewal also includes other Nielsen products and services such as National TV View, NPower and Arianna. The combined suite of products will help NCC Media continue to deliver enhanced value to its clients by providing overnight and Live+3 ratings data and detailed insights of television audiences.
In addition to the long-term agreement, NCC signed a separate licensing deal for Nielsen's Digital Ad Ratings and Digital Brand Effects solution. With Digital Ad Ratings, the industry standard solution for digital audience measurement, NCC Media can show its clients a complete view of their ad's digital and mobile performance in a way that is comparable to TV. Nielsen's Digital Brand Effect solution will be another tool that NCC Media leverages to measure and optimize a brand's digital campaign with relevant, real-time metrics.
"NCC Media and Nielsen work closely to ensure that buyers and sellers transact media campaigns on local cable audiences dependably across all markets," said Nick Garramone, senior vice president, ebusiness operations & research, NCC Media. "Our agreement signifies a commitment to our mutual customers that we want to support and grow local video advertising as a valuable way to reach advertisers' potential customers. As NCC Media and the local cable community continue to deliver high-quality programming at the market level, our partnership with Nielsen provides an industry-wide approach to measuring local video impressions for our agency and advertising customers."
"In today's extremely competitive business environment, it's critical for the marketplace to have industry-standard solutions that support and facilitate the buying and selling of advertising on linear television and digital platforms," said Jeff Wender, senior vice president, local television, Nielsen. "This renewal agreement with NCC validates Nielsen's commitment to offer innovative measurement solutions that meet the advertising needs of our clients and reflect the total audience whether over-the-air or online."
