On Wed., Jan. 29, NFL Extra Points will take over the LED signage on the Barclays building on 7th Avenue in New York City. Fans will be asked to follow @NFLExtraPoints on Twitter and between 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET and tweet a photo of the boards showcasing NFL Extra Points team-specific credit cards to @NFLExtraPoints. Followers will be entered for a chance to win Super Bowl XLVIII tickets and other prizes and will be chosen at random. Winners will be notified via Twitter direct message. NFL Extra Points Challenge
Adam Vinatieri will attempt the NFL Extra Points Challenge between 3:30 - 5 p.m. ET on Jan. 29 on Super Bowl Boulevard in New York City. Vinatieri will lace up his cleats for the last time this season to showcase his field goal kicking precision and attempt to award up to 1 million NFL Extra Points in the form of a $10,000 cash donation by Barclaycard to the NFL PLAY 60 Challenge which is dedicated to youth health and fitness. The NFL PLAY 60 Challenge is a program of the NFL and the American Heart Association that educates students and teachers about the importance of physical activity.
Vinatieri will attempt to kick three regulation NFL footballs from 25 yards through three designated targets positioned inside a regulation NFL goalpost. NFL Extra Points will award 250,000 points to NFL PLAY 60 Challenge for every target Vinatieri hits or a total of 1 million NFL Extra Points if Vinatieri hits all three targets.
