Nexage Metrics Launches with a Review of Mobile Ad Network eCPM Data
Nexage finds that mobile ad network eCPM yield fluctuates substantially over time
BOSTON, April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Nexage (www.nexage.com), a leading provider of mobile advertising yield optimization and mediation solutions, today launched its inaugural Nexage Metrics report with a review of eCPM fluctuation across global mobile ad networks over a 30-day period.
The research indicates that mobile ad networks of all sizes and maturity see a substantial level of fluctuation in the eCPMs that they deliver over a 30-day period, most ranging from 37-89% of max eCPM.
"The ad networks do a tremendous job of aggregating and packaging mobile inventory, delivering value for their publisher and advertiser clients," said Dev Gandhi, Nexage CEO. "But, with any fragmented market, there are efficiency gains to be had for all members of the value chain. We see from this data that the marketplace can value similar inventory very differently over time. This market, like most others, simply cannot be timed, and requires sophisticated tools to maximize return in the face of unpredictable market dynamics."

March data from Nexage reveals that there is substantial fluctuation in the eCPM from ad networks over a 30-day period. From March 1-31, 8 out of 11 ad networks saw a minimum 37% fluctuation in eCPM, some reaching as high as 89%. The high fluctuation rate was consistent across low and high volume ad networks, with the 3rd highest revenue yielding ad network seeing a 75% eCPM fluctuation.
