Newest California Road Trips Guide Makes Family Road Trips Easy To Navigate
SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As summer approaches, the California Road Trips 2013 will be the perfect ride-along guide to California with new, technology-friendly features and updated routes.
In the new California Road Trips, readers can follow 12 exclusive itineraries to perfect family vacations filled with outdoor activities, entertainment, shopping and wine and dine experiences. Now, readers can access these itineraries not just in print but also virtually with QR codes incorporated throughout the guide that take users to itineraries on their smartphones.

California Road Trips 2013, which is the perfect size to accompany readers on the road, is designed to be used in tandem with smartphones. This year's guide incorporates QR codes and bit.ly links throughout the spreads that will allow users to navigate to a digital version of the guide, with links to all the locations in the itinerary as well as an interactive Google map. Also included throughout the guide are Instagram promotions, encouraging consumers to post pictures using the hashtag #CARoadTrips so that these images can be shared on Visit California's Instagram feed and Facebook page.
This year, 600,000 California Road Trips will be distributed in the June 2013 issue of Sunset magazine, and an additional 400,000 will be distributed through domestic and international direct fulfillment and at trade shows.
