New Yorkers are Instant Messaging Their Doctors with Klara App
- Thousands of NYC-area healthcare professionals have patients using the Klara App for "in-between" communication
NEW YORK, Nov. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Klara Technologies, Inc., known as "Klara" is creating the largest communication network of doctors in the NYC-metro area. There are currently 300,000 New Yorkers messaging their doctors with Klara. Healthcare providers currently using Klara exceeds 10,000.
"We see Klara as the largest instant messaging service for NYC-area healthcare matters. Klara keeps up with New Yorkers' traditionally fast-paced and innovative lifestyles," says Frederik Mueller, Director of Account Management at Klara.
The Klara application is a cloud-based messaging application through which medical offices can communicate with patients and other medical professionals by sending images, text and files via secure platform. Providers can have a "group chat" among one another on a patient case—something that has not been able to take place due to limitations on traditional telephone communication.
With 60% of office phone calls going to voicemail, the ability to send instant messages and triage communication in healthcare has positive operational outcomes. Klara has saved offices on average 7 hours per day that would otherwise have been spent on administrative duties.
"Having a patient population that is millennial based, I have found this tool a great way to interface and to retain patients. It's a dream come true not having to play phone tag with patients. And in terms of collections, Klara is a fantastic new way to allow patients to settle bills," Dr. Rita Linkner, Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at Mt. Sinai and Provider at Spring Street Dermatology.
More than half of patients surveyed recently would choose a primary care physician based on whether or not they offered a mobile app. Out of this total number, 70% of millennial patients would choose a provider with a mobile app over one without.
Klara usage is growing rapidly, and is projected to take over 60% of NYC-metro area healthcare practices. Providers asking patients to "Klara" them is becoming popular terminology.
NYC-area professionals should act fast. Klara is currently offering its services which include unlimited access to the platform, support and staff training at a discounted rate to early-adopters for a limited time.
