New Series to Rival 'House of Cards' Gets Two Thumbs Up From Critics Worldwide
The new series dubbed as 'The Next House Of Cards' is gearing up to take on the Netflix rival, and critics couldn't be happier.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The new series on Amazon, 'Back Stabber', has critics agreeing that the show's success will be enormous. Sponsored by the #1 organic skincare brand, Z Skin Cosmetics, the show has skyrocketed through the press. The trailer alone speaks for the amount of followers it's receiving; with almost 2,000 views per day, Back Stabber has picked up steam quickly.
Reviews from such sites as Broadwayworld.com name the series 'The Next House Of Cards,' pointing to the show's creator Ryan Zamo as the reason for its success. The new series takes on social and political aspects, bringing to light many of today's problems, especially within the teenage demographic.
Though most critics agree that the show is a hit, some critics feel that it's lacking 'the oomph' it needs to be a blockbuster. The Movie Sleuth review stated, "With the lack of funding for the show it does have its flaws, but if they can generate the proper backing for it, Back Stabber will be the 'Gossip Girl' of its time."
The new series had a record setting budget for its first two episodes; combined with production, the cost they spent to completely produce both episodes fell just under $400. The series premiere was recently pushed back until March due to the lack of funding needed to finish production; but nonetheless, critics are still highly applauding the series. Another review states, "Unlike so many ultra low-budget productions, Back Stabber is well made, and the acting is actually good."
Though no exact date has been given for the official March release, the series is in full swing and ready to hit hard.
