New RFID for Medical Device Management Seminar to Co-Locate With RFID in Health Care 2015
RFID Journal announced today that its 8th annual conference and exhibition, to be held on Dec. 2-3, in San Francisco, Calif., will feature a new co-located RFID for Medical Device Management seminar
NEW YORK, Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- RFID in Health Care (www.rfidjournalevents.com/healthcare), the premier industry event, focuses on the use of radio frequency identification technology within the health-care industry. This year's event, cornerstone-sponsored by Cardinal Health, will feature a new co-located RFID for Medical Device Management seminar, sponsored by Fujitsu, Terso Solutions and Zebra Technologies. The conference and exhibition will be held on Dec. 2-3 in San Francisco, Calif.
RFID technologies are now being deployed at hospitals and clinics around the world to improve asset utilization rates, manage inventory of implants, drugs and other high-value items, reduce the likelihood that equipment becomes lost or stolen, improve patient flow, decrease medical errors, increase hand-washing compliance, and achieve other significant benefits.
The new Medical Device Management program, to be held on Dec. 3, is designed for device manufacturers that want to learn how to use RFID to better track and manage those devices, as well as for hospitals and clinics that want to track instruments and ensure they are properly used and sterilized. Presenters will explain which tags will work on specific types of medical devices and the software needed to manage medical devices effectively.
"This is a great opportunity for medical device manufacturers and distributors to learn how to tag their inventory and use RFID to track and manage high-value devices more effectively," said RFID Journal founder and editor Mark Roberti. "And they'll have a chance to meet some of the companies providing hardware and software solutions specific to their needs."
RFID in Health Care will feature case studies presented by health-care organizations already using RFID technologies, such as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Northwestern University, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The event will help attendees determine the best RFID technology for their needs, learn best practices from early adopters, find the right technology partners and move forward.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the leading technology companies and view their latest solutions. Exhibitors will include DeRoyal, HID Global, Jadak, Terso, Vuemed and many others. The event will also include fast-track RFID Professional Institute Certified Associate training, provided by RFID4U.
Attendees registering by Nov. 20 can save $150 off onsite rates.
