New ParentLink® Suite Brings Social Media Management to K-12
Hosted social media management, district mobile app, and notification--all in one system.
PROVO, Utah, April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ParentLink® today announced their newest product offering, ParentLink Suite. Created to help school districts communicate using the diverse platforms used by families and communities, the new suite introduces the first-ever social media manager built for K-12, and includes substantial feature enhancements for the hundreds of district apps currently in use by ParentLink districts.
The updated app contains My Stream, a consolidated feed where families can see news, calendar events, notifications, social media posts, and school updates in a single timeline, giving them an easy way to stay up-to-date. A new school finder and bus stop locator will help families find their assigned school and student-specific bus information using their phone's GPS function.
The new social media manager, named Sociability™, is a powerful tool to help school administrators navigate the social media landscape and establish an influential social presence for their district. "Sociability is a natural extension for ParentLink," said Annette Eyman, Communications Director for the Papillion-La Vista School District in Nebraska. "They are our mobile app provider, and for a school district, social is just the next logical step after mobile."
Sociability allows school leaders to easily filter and respond to social comments, and identify influential people in the community in order to create a more prominent social presence.
