New Cloud-Based Service Enables Lotus Notes Customers to Run On-Demand Migration and Coexistence Proof-of-Concepts to Microsoft Exchange

NEW ORLEANS, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Binary Tree, the market-leading provider of cross-platform messaging migration and coexistence solutions, announced a new cloud-based service today at booth 341 at Microsoft TechEd 2010.  The new service, called CMT AutoPilot, enables Lotus Notes customers to run on-demand migration and coexistence proof-of-concept (POC) projects to on-premises and cloud-based versions of Microsoft Exchange, including to Microsoft Online's Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS).

While traditional migration and coexistence POC projects typically require significant investments in hardware, software, subject matter experts and time, CMT AutoPilot provides Lotus customers with an easy, low-cost, and nearly instantaneous alternative to pilot a migration to the Microsoft platform.  CMT AutoPilot enables Lotus Notes customers to access a dedicated and fully functional Lotus Notes/Domino and Microsoft Exchange migration and coexistence environment running in the cloud for as long as a customer wants it to remain active.  

Once the customer is logged into the CMT AutoPilot cloud environment, they can experience any desired migration and coexistence functionality they desire.  Complete end user and administrator experiences in Outlook and Lotus Notes can also be tested to best prepare for an actual migration in the future.  Customers can migrate real user email and calendar data or pre-populated test data from Notes to Exchange.  CMT AutoPilot also gives customers the ability to test email and calendar workflow between Notes/Domino and Exchange including free/busy calendar lookups, directory synchronization, and the automated remediation of Lotus Notes email-enabled applications for Exchange/Outlook users.  

CMT AutoPilot currently supports migration and coexistence between Lotus Notes/Domino and Microsoft Exchange.  Support for migration and coexistence between Lotus Notes Applications and Microsoft SharePoint and SQL Server will be available later this year.
