LONDON, Feb. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Castrol® EDGE® recently launched a new film in the Live on the Edge series — telling the exciting stories of remarkable figures from the worlds of performance, automotive and entertainment who have seized the opportunity to lead more exhilarating lives. Just as Castrol EDGE, which transforms to be stronger under pressure, unlocks the exhilarating performance of engines, the Live on the Edge project explores how individuals seek out exhilarating moments in the midst of every day.
A new global study by Castrol EDGE reveals 81 percent of people worldwide fail to feel exhilarated on a daily basis. This research underpins the Castrol EDGE Live on the Edge project, which celebrates the importance and impact of everyday exhilaration on wellbeing as well as the pursuit of these moments every day.
The newest film in the series, Rain Starts Play, shines a light on renowned US comedian, record-breaking podcaster and car racing enthusiast, Adam Carolla, who uses the film as an opportunity to reflect on pivotal moments in his life and career.
Rain Starts Play sees Carolla embrace torrential rainfall and set out for an adrenaline-pumping wet drifting experience at a racetrack, pushing an Audi R8 V10 Quattro to its very limits. For some, rain stops play; for Adam rain starts play.
The film showcases Carolla's unique character and mentality — expressed in his restless pursuit of fun and adventure. From his early career as a carpenter in California, to volunteering as Jimmy Kimmel's boxing trainer and now running a self-built media empire, Adam's life has taken a unique course. Due to his desire to make life more exhilarating each and every day, Adam has an ability to identify and seize opportunities where others shy away.
Adam Carolla commented, "Rain Starts Play sums up my attitude toward life. Why run for shelter when you can run full steam into the rain and embrace the opportunity for an exciting experience."
"I never excelled at school, but I always knew how to grasp every opportunity, and my career has been long and varied and, most importantly, fun as a result. Whether I'm on stage in front of a live audience or racing in one of my classic cars, I just go for it in the moment without knowing where it will lead. It so turns out that this has been the key to my success and happiness in life."
Castrol EDGE's new formulation transforms to be stronger when pressure is highest, fighting friction to unlock exhilarating performance. Working alongside a range of the world's leading automotive brands and motorsport teams, Castrol EDGE helps ensure engines consistently reach optimal and exhilarating performance.
