LAS VEGAS, Oct. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Culture Amp, the leading people analytics platform, is pleased to announce at the opening of HR Technology Conference and Expo in Las Vegas that David Ostberg will be joining its San Francisco office as a Director of Data & Insights.
Prior to Culture Amp, Ostberg was Vice President, Workforce Science at Evolv (now Cornerstone OnDemand), for six-and-half-years.
Ostberg is widely regarded as both a leading industrial psychologist and workforce scientist with a pragmatic and strategic mindset on how individuals and organizations can benefit through people, data, science, and technology.
His experience in behavioral measurement, with a PhD in Industrial Psychology, will further cement Culture Amp's Data and Insights team as the most experienced and qualified in the industry, joining Chief Scientist Jason McPherson (PhD), Data and Insights coaches Steven Huang and Chloe Hamman, and Data Scientist Buddhi Jayatilleke (PhD).
Culture Amp CEO Didier Elzinga said the new appointment would allow Culture Amp to further develop its science of people analytics.
"Being 'People Geeks', in the truest sense, is at the core of what we do, and David's experience allows us to further develop our research and development capability as well as working directly with clients," he said.
Elzinga said with Ostberg's input, Culture Amp would continue to focus on its product to bring better insight into a company's people data.
Culture Amp, has experienced significant growth since the beginning of the year, remaining leaders in people analytics with most of the world's top tech innovators using the Culture Amp platform like Greenhouse, Adobe, Slack, Airbnb, Pinterest, Etsy, Warby Parker and Eventbrite.
New industries embracing Culture Amp's approach to people analytics include traditional media companies, fast growth retail clients, sports organisations, and leading hotel chains.
The company itself has grown from 15 to 50 employees since the start of the year, when it took $6.3 million in funding. It has moved into a larger office in San Francisco, and opened a New York Office in October.
Elzinga said the company will grow over 3x this year and growth is speeding up rather than slowing down.
"I predict 2016 will be the year that people analytics goes mainstream," he said. "I'm proud of the positive impact we've had on so many companies. I can't wait to do the same for so many more."
