Richard Johnson, VP and CFO for The Smith Center, stated, "The Textura application and associated process allows The Smith Center to track the direct purchase of materials used in the project. Material supplier invoices are received and reviewed on-line by The Smith Center team. Once the invoice has been approved by all parties, payment is made electronically directly to the supplier. The entire process provides us with the accelerated, transparent and auditable processes our organization desires."
Patrick Allin, Textura Chairman and CEO, stated, "Utilizing Textura's CPM application, The Smith Center team has created a sustainable solution to a very complex process. Our shared database and configurable workflow engine allows for direct collaboration between the project's material suppliers and Owner. Subcontractors follow a defined and repeatable process which adds efficiency for everyone."
"Maintaining a tax exempt material purchases process is very important to a non-profit construction project," added Bonnie Houldsworth, Controller, for The Smith Center. "We worked closely with the Whiting Tuner team, the project's General Contractor, to develop a process that would be manageable and easy to understand by all participants, while adhering to the Nevada state statutes."
"CPM has been implemented by a variety of non-profit organizations who actively manage construction projects," added David Kelly, Textura VP Client Services. "We work with many church, Native American gaming, municipal and civic groups. CPM can be easily configured to segregate direct owner purchased materials, providing a process and audit trail that benefits all parties involved."
