NetDiligence Announces Data Breach Response Solution
New Tool Helps Organizations Plan for & Respond to Incidents
PHILADELPHIA, June 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- NetDiligence®, a leading cyber risk assessment and data breach services company, announced today it has developed a innovative solution to help an organization develop a customized Incident Response Plan (IRP). The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, called Breach Plan Connect™, also hosts the plan and provides guided response steps that ensure an organization adheres to its approved plan when responding to suspected incidents.

A key feature of Breach Plan Connect is an interactive "Build Your Plan" tool that guides an organization step-by-step in building a customized Incident Response Plan that is action-focused and includes the key components that regulators look for in a plan. Since Breach Plan Connect also hosts the plan, the organization can access it when needed — at any time, from any location, on any device.
Should an organization suspect they've had a data breach, they simply access Breach Plan Connect and log the incident. Breach Plan Connect facilitates their response by automatically generating a unique incident number, Incident Tracking Report and Incident Response Checklist. Breach Plan Connect also includes a messaging mechanism that reduces the chance of the affected organization sending sensitive information via unencrypted email across potentially compromised systems.
"To support our cyber liability insurance carrier partners, we conduct hundreds of cyber risk assessments every year," said Mark Greisiger, president of NetDiligence. "What we've observed is that organizations in most business sectors do not have an actionable data breach-focused incident response plan – or they have a plan that is printed and filed away and they can't find it when a crisis incident occurs. We wanted to make incident response planning easier, so that organizations all sizes and types are better equipped to respond effectively to a breach event."
Organizations that license Breach Plan Connect also benefit from pre-breach planning tools, educational content for the C-Suite and, optionally, single sign-on access to their cyber liability insurer's eRiskHub®.
An early adopter of this innovative online platform, Endurance Insurance will be providing risk management premium credits to their cyber liability policyholders who license Breach Plan Connect. "We strive to provide our policyholders with the latest tools and information to assist them in preparing for a breach," said Brad Gow, senior vice president of Endurance Insurance. "This solution gives our clients a simple, easy-to-use tool to prepare for the inevitable and ensure that their organization responds quickly and effectively when an incident happens."
NetDiligence will be showcasing Breach Plan Connect at this year's NetDiligence Cyber Liability Conference in Philadelphia on June 7th and 8th.
